DCIG creates licensed content in the form of its ground breaking Buyer’s Guides. DCIG analysts choose a topic for a Buyer’s Guide that addresses a current need in the market. Specifically, numerous products from multiple vendors are available in the market that confuse potential buyers. It is this challenge that the DCIG Buyer’s Guides address by collecting data on specific products within a defined market landscape.DCIG evaluates those products from an end user’s viewpoint, scores their features and then arrives at a ranking that easily communicates those findings. The development of each Buyer’s Guide begins with DCIG creating and completing surveys for all of the products to be covered in a particular Buyer’s Guide. These surveys are then sent out to all of the vendors of the products being covered in the Buyer’s Guide. Responses are compiled, scored and ranked with an analysis write-up accompanying the publication of each Buyer’s Guide. The result is a Buyer’s Guide that typically has 50 or more pages which is used by individuals to make hardware and software evaluations and buying decisions.

Lead Generation Programs

The DCIG Buyer’s Guide Lead Generation program gives any vendor or VAR the opportunity to access the names of buyers who are looking to buy a specific enterprise technology. The download of a DCIG Buyer’s Guide often occurs from the DCIG website at the exact time when buyers are doing their research in anticipation of acquiring a particular technology. The DCIG Lead Generation program gives vendors access to buyers’ names; contact information that is verified by DCIG; and, visibility into the particular technology in which they are interested, which is determined by the topic of the Buyer’s Guide that the buyer downloaded.Vendors may obtain leads generated from DCIG Buyer’s Guides in one of the two following ways:

  • Obtain the leads individually. Vendors will be provided with a subset of information about each lead available for purchase. Each lead will have previously downloaded a specific DCIG Buyer’s Guide. Once the lead(s) have been selected and paid for, the rest of the contact information for the lead is made available. Leads are available for both exclusive and non-exclusive purchase.
  • Bundled lead program. Vendors will be provided all leads for a specific Buyer’s Guide or Guides up to the number of leads purchased before the outreach formally begins. During this period of time, DCIG will promote the specific Buyer’s Guide(s) that is part of the program through a variety of outlets until the lead requirement is fulfilled. All leads will be of users who have recently downloaded the collateral and will be provided to the vendor within five (5) business days of the download. Leads as part of the bundled lead program are available for both exclusive and non-exclusive acquisition.

Leads are provided to the vendor in either an agreed upon Excel spreadsheet or comma separated value (CSV) format. Integration with Salesforce is available for an additional fee.
